This award includes both radio and television

• Both CMU Public Radio and CMU Public Television are frequent award-winners at the annual MAB Great Lakes Broadcasting Conference. In past years, television has received recognition for programs featuring Michigan Special Olympics, industrial education programming and Editor’s Notepad, a weekly public affairs program. Radio is a frequent award-winner for its wide range of new programs, from breaking news stories, to mini-documentaries, to hard news.

• Several employees at CMU Public Broadcasting have received the annual Employee Service Award from Central Michigan University for their excellent work and commitment to the university.

• The Engineering department at CMU Public Broadcasting received the BCA Broadcaster of the Year award in 1998.
