Student activism and leadership are the focus of a discussion at Central Michigan University Tuesday night.
It’s part of CMU’s Speak Up Speak Out series. Seven students will sit on the panel, discussing topics ranging from voting to sexual assault to protests on college campuses.
Jace Trevino is a panelist.
“We’re going to be talking about activism on campus. Different groups, different perspectives on what the real social issues are and what kind of change we’re really pushing for on campus.”
Jami Watson is one of the panelists. She said it will give students an opportunity to learn about social change.
“To come together more on these kinds of topics, and to define some sort of relation and similarities so they’re able to be more active and affect social change on campus and other places.”
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday on the campus of CMU in the Library Auditorium.
