Governor Rick Snyder leaves tomorrow on seven-day trip to Europe. The goal is to strengthen trade relationships and attract business investment to Michigan.
The governor’s itinerary includes Germany, where the governor will stop by an international manufacturing conference — as well as Switzerland, Italy, and the Netherlands. He’ll be accompanied by a team that includes state economic development officials and Michigan business leaders.
The governor will put a hold on his commitment to drink filtered water from Flint while he is overseas. The governor’s spokesman says the governor will resume drinking Flint water when he returns in an effort to reassure people the water is safe to drink. The trip wraps up next Friday.
