Tech company moves to Flint

DSCN1319Lawmakers say they’re hopeful a software company’s move into downtown Flint could be a catalyst for more growth.

The company, iSource WorldWide, says it could bring as many as 100 hundred new jobs to the area.

The move to Flint was supported by a five-hundred thousand dollar grant and a two-and-a-half- million dollar loan from the Michigan Business Development Program.

Democratic State Senator Jim Ananich represents Genesee county. He said iSource is coming to Flint to help be a part of the city’s revival.

“Flint is obviously struggling with the Flint water crisis and to have folks want to be a part of the economic rebirth is very important.”

Ananich said the company should be moved in within the next few weeks.
