Children and adults in need of dental care will be able to receive free treatment Friday and Saturday in Big Rapids.
Volunteer Dentists and Hygienists will be providing services including cleanings, fillings, extractions and some root canals and replacements on a first-come, first-served basis.
The clinic hopes to serve about 1,000 people on Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31.
Dr. Stephen Harris is chairing the event. He hopes the clinic will have a positive impact on the community.
“We understand there’s a lot of people who find barriers to care difficult to overcome,” Harris said. “It’s a outreach for those who can’t afford to go to dentistry and we’re bringing it to the people in a sense.”
The Clinic is at the Ewigleben Sports Complex at 210 Sports Drive in Big Rapids.
It opens at 6 a.m. and closes when the capacity is reached.
