Michigan would allow people to drink alcohol on so-called “pedal pubs” under bills making their way through the Legislature.

Governor Snyder has until the end of the year to sign a bill making the drunk snowmobiling limit the same as it is when driving a car.
The 0.08 alcohol limit would apply to anyone driving a recreational vehicle. Things like snowmobiles, boats and ORVs.
Northern Michigan police said drunk driving isn’t just a problem on the road. They said drunk snowmobiling should also be taken seriously.
They said more than a decade ago state lawmakers changed the alcohol limit from 0.10 to 0.08 for people driving cars.
However, this law did not change the limit for anyone driving ORV’s, snowmobiles or boats. Continue reading
