Poll: Majority of Michigan residents support recreational marijuana

pot53% of Michigan residents surveyed said they would vote yes if the legalization of recreational marijuana was on the November 2016 ballot.

That’s according to a poll conducted by the Michigan chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.

Odawa Indians and DNR band together to restore Sturgeon fishery

The Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians has collaborated with the Department of Natural Resources to examine the Sturgeon fishery in the Tip of the Mitt.

Burt Lake in Cheboygan county is known for having a historically strong Sturgeon fishery. However, in recent years, overfishing has had a significant impact on the fish population.

Chippewa International Airport receives marketing report from local college students

planeNew flight destinations may be in store for Chippewa County International Airport following a recent marketing survey.

The two week study was conducted by a marketing research class from Lake Superior State University.

12 students were divided into subgroups and used patron demographics to look at things like the demand for additional flight destinations, satisfaction rates and parking. Continue reading
