With health care under the Affordable Care Act scheduled to begin in January, there are still a lot of unanswered questions.
Michigan State Professor Greg Holzman answered questions and explored what health care should be in a lecture series called Your Health.
Holzman’s talk focused on the the effect of communities on health care and how more localized efforts could help people’s health
“While where you live has a big effect on health” Holzman said, “I try to show a lot of the great things come out of communities and if we’re going to continue to sit and look at Washington for our answers we’re going to be in a lot of trouble.”
The lecture was hosted by Northwestern Michigan College in the Oleson Center at 1881 College drive at the main campus in Traverse City.
The lecture begans Monday, November 18 at 6 p.m.
