"The New Jazz Archive," on CMU Public Radio!

Hosted, by longtime jazz musician and composer Jeff Haas, "The New Jazz Archive" is a new radio series documenting jazz's often-unrecognized place in American life. Each hour-long episode is a collection of stories, interviews, and music that relates the past, present and future of jazz to the things that shape our daily lives as Americans--from movies, television and pop culture, to important social issues, to the economy, to science and technology, and even jazz's place in shaping other forms of music like rock 'n' roll, hip hop and world music.


Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me
Mondays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m.

Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! is NPR's weekly hour-long quiz program. Each week on the radio you can test your knowledge against some of the best and brightest in the news and entertainment world while figuring out what's real news and what's made up. On the Web, you can play along too.

Fresh Air with Terry Gross
Weekdays at 4 p.m.

Fresh Air opens the window on contemporary arts and issues with guests from worlds as diverse as literature and economics. Terry Gross hosts this multi-award-winning daily interview and features program. The veteran public radio interviewer is known for her extraordinary ability to engage guests of all dispositions. Every weekday she delights intelligent and curious listeners with revelations on contemporary societal concerns.


The Set List with Rick Westover
Saturdays at 9 p.m.

The Set List offers an eclectic mix of music, built around various themes. No show is the same in a world where Chet Baker mingles with The Strokes and John Lee Hooker. You’ll find Michigan musicians, new indie darlings and hear classic tracks in a new light.


World Cafe with David Dye
Monday through Thursday 9 - 11 p.m. Fridays 7 - 9 p.m.

World Cafe, has emerged as the premier public radio showcase for contemporary music serving up an eclectic blend that includes blues, rock, world, folk, and alternative country. This two-hour daily program is hosted by long-time Philadelphia radio personality David Dye. A passionate music enthusiast, Dye takes listeners on a unique journey of musical discovery as he presents a mix of music from both new and legendary artists. Live performances and intimate interviews with Dye's musical guests highlight each day's show.
