Weekend Edition Sunday with Mike Horace
Sunday 8 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Weekend Edition Sunday combines the news with colorful arts and human-interest features, appealing to the curious and eclectic. Conceived as a cross between a Sunday newspaper and CBS' Sunday Morning with Charles Kuralt, Weekend Edition Sunday features interviews with newsmakers, artists, scientists, politicians, musicians, writers, theologians and historians. The highlight for many listeners is the regularly scheduled puzzle segment with Puzzlemaster Will Shortz, the crossword puzzle editor of The New York Times.
About Mike ...

Mike Horace is the host of CMU Public Radio’s Weekend Edition Sunday, a correspondent for CMU Public Radio News, and regular fill-in host for Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
Mike is CMU Public Radio’s resident political junkie – often focusing on local and state political issues.

He has interviewed everyone from township supervisors to world leaders, including Gov. Jennifer Granholm, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, and Vicente Fox, former President of Mexico.
In his spare time, Mike can often be found outdoors, hiking or bicycling around central and northern Michigan. And if the Detroit Tigers or Red Wings are on, he’s never too far away from a television or radio!
