Meteorologists say we can expect a mild December. It’s the result of an increasing El Nino pattern in the south pacific.
Mike Boguth is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Gaylord.
He said the next couple of days will still be on the chilly side.
“But looking farther out to be honest with you I think we’re going to be going to a much more relaxed, somewhat milder pattern. Especially by the second, perhaps into the third week of December.”
Boguth said this December should be very different than last year’s super cold Polar Vortex- fueled month.
He said if the El Nino continues to increase in intensity, we’ll likely see a mild winter with temperatures warmer than normal.
