Clare County is hosting a workshop to help people become more self-aware and overcome negativity.
The workshop is called Take Charge of Your Life. It’s based on the book of the same name.
Jim Mishler is an organizer of the event, he said the six hour workshop will feature a range of speakers.
“In the workshop we teach people how to take more effective control of their lives and how to be better problem solvers, and how to understand their own behavior.”
Mishler said he hopes the workshop will help the community.
“You just kinda look around and people are always kinda saying, well someone made me do it, or you made me angry, or this situation upset me. And really, that’s not the case, no one can make you do anything, you choose to do whatever it is you’re going to do.”
The evening workshop is being held April 19 and 21st from 6pm-9pm, and the daytime workshop is on April 20 from 9am- 5pm at the Pere Marquette District Library, 185 E. 4th Street Clare, MI 48617. Registration fee is $15.00, 989-386-7576 or register online at www.pmdl.org.
