Great Lakes sculpture aims to raise environmental awareness

GL_Art_Pic_3_mediumTo highlight his concerns about water use and abuse, artist Kevin Dartt created an unusual public sculpture in downtown Rochester, New York: five concrete sinks in the shapeand porportion of the Great Lakes.

The installation, sponsored by the contemporary art center, runs like a fountain, and Dartt is curious to see whether people take care of the delicate ecosystem, or trash it.
