The Great Lakes Center for the Arts is expected to bring cultural performances from around the world to the community of Bay Harbor.
The project is estimated at 25 million dollars.
Jill O’Neil is the Executive Director for the Great Lakes Center for the Arts. She said the groundbreaking will feature music and speakers.
“We are thrilled to have Governor Rick Snyder sharing his message of the importance of the arts and the vitality of Michigan.”
O’Neil said the center will be a year round arts venture serving the entire region from Traverse City to Mackinac. It’s slated to open in the summer of 2018.
