Voters in Bay City will have a chance to kill two birds with one stone on election day.

The Monitor Township Hall will have pharmacists on hand to give out flu shots before or after residents vote.

Vote and Vax is a national campaign geared toward making flu shots more available to people.

Heather Kauffman is an Area Healthcare Supervisor at Walgreens. The company is providing the flu shots.

“Every flu season is very unpredictable so obviously we believe an annual flu shot is the first and most important preventive measure so that people can protect themselves and those around the season.”

Kauffman said she hopes more polling places will take part in Vote and Vax in the coming years.

St. Clair County is also holding an event.
